SANFORD ZISMAN

Sanford Zisman has practiced tax law as an attorney in Colorado since 1965. His practice emphasizes personal tax and estate planning, wills, trusts, business tax planning, and probate administration.

Background/Education

Accounting degree from the University of Southern California (B.S., 1961). Law degree from the University of Denver (J.D., 1964) and Master of Laws in Taxation degree from New York University (LL.M. in Taxation, 1965). Admitted to the bar in Colorado in 1965. He is also licensed, but does not practice, as a Certified Public Accountant (1964). Sandy Zisman has been awarded an AV Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, denoting “very high” professional ethics and “very high to preeminent” quality of legal work.

Publications

Sandy Zisman is co-author of IRC §754 and the Probate Practitioner, published in The Colorado Lawyer, the leading publication of the Colorado Bar Association. He also co-authored The Private Annuity — A Taxpayer’s Panacea, Is It for Real?, published in the University of Colorado Law Review.
